Type Locality and Naming

Type section at Baoquan, southeast of the village of Chenming, Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province. Named by Chen Qiying, 1963, in Sun Shu et al., 1963, Reports of Integrated Expedition to the Heilongjiang River Valley, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing: Science Press. A lower formation in the Shangzhi Gr (sum of Baoquan Fm, Xiaojingou Fm and DaqingSongliao Fm).

Not yet provided; and only vague "Late Paleozoic" which doesn't seem to include Ordovician! [Temporary, considering Xiaojingou Fm is in the same Shangzhi Gr, shown as clayey sandstone on graphic.]
